In response to the recent allegation that associates at our Sevierville store asked a customer who was wearing a Friends of Coal Miner t-shirt to either cover it up or leave the store.
After an extensive investigation, we can find no record or truth in this having ever happened. We have responded to numerous complaints we have received and have asked each one of those individuals if they know who the gentleman is, so we can talk to him, or if they know someone who knows him. Not one person knew who he was because they had only heard about it second hand through chat lines or Facebook.

Bass Pro Shops certainly has nothing against coal miners as many are enthusiastic outdoorsmen and good customers of our stores.
