Two of the top competitors on the popular CITGO Bassmaster Elite 100 tournament fishing series will be on hand Saturday at the Friends of Coal Auto Fair at the Beckley-Raleigh County YMCA Sports Complex.

Stephen Browning, one of the tour's top money winners, and Jeremy Starks, a rising Elite series star, will be available to sign autographs and discuss fishing with those attending the Friends of Coal Day at the Auto Fair.

Starks, who is from West Virginia, is a Friends of Coal spokesman.

"This is going to be a great day. We' re always happy to have Jeremy Starks available to talk with people in this state about both fishing and his appreciation of the coal industry," said Warren Hylton, founder of the Friends of Coal.

" We're also proud to have Stephen Browning here with Jeremy. Stephen Browning is one of the best-known anglers on the tour. He and Jeremy will be available to talk to people all day long."

Browning, who is from Hot Springs, Arkansas, has competed in more than 100 BASS events, including four trips to the prestigious CITGO Bassmaster Classic. He has 27 top 20 finishes. He has been in the top 10 at 17 tournaments, with a first, second and third place finish to his credit.

Starks is in his first year on the tour and has finished in the top 50 at several tournaments, including one top 20 finish.

BASS is the world's largest fishing organization, sanctioning more than 20,000 tournaments worldwide through its federation. The elite series is the highest level of professional fishing competition.

The Friends of Coal Auto Fair starts Friday and runs through Sunday. The feature day is Saturday. The Auto Fair will also feature a pig roast, flea market and children's fun area to go along with the state's largest automobile show.
